Women only
Breeze Rides are all about fun, friendly, informal bike rides led by women, for women. They're ideal for all abilities and are great for building confidence and getting some gentle exercise. You might not have ridden a bike for a while and be looking for the easiest way to get back in the saddle, or be looking for a sociable way of getting out and about in your local area. Breeze rides are gently-paced, not too long, and often take in a stop for coffee or a cake. Kids are welcome to come along too.

Breeze Bike Rides in Leeds
This is a lovely ride on the eastern fringes of Leeds. Although we will spend the majority of the time in the countryside we will touch upon some urban areas to enable a circular route. We will be going at a leisurely pace which will take us approximately 2.5 hours, including a break half way round. Please allow 3 hours in total as we will spend 20 minutes for the bike checks before the ride begins.
The route is predominantly off road on good cycle paths and bridleways. We will ride for 4 short sections on roads before rejoining the off road route that includes some of the Leeds Country Way. We will start from the car park at Glebelands, Garforth and head due south along ‘The Lines’ before taking in Kippax and Great Preston. We then head across to Swillington and Temple Newsam Estate, where we will stop for a break of about 30 minutes. Please do bring some money if you would like to get some refreshments from the tea rooms. We then move on to Colton and go through Thorpe Park before heading back to Garforth having rejoined the Leeds Country Way.
Newcomers to Breeze rides as well as those that have completed previous rides are very welcome. Please make sure you are dressed appropriately for the weather, in cold/wet weather it’s good to wear lots of thin layers, so you can add/remove them as needed. A rain jacket and gloves are a good idea too! Please bring something to drink and a snack to keep you going.
Wearing a helmet is advisable but if you don’t have one please do not worry you can still take part. If you enjoy the bike ride and would like to come again perhaps you could look to buy one then.
Contact number on the day is 07950 444715
Look forward to seeing you there!
