Breeze Bike Rides in Leeds

Before we start we’ll do a quick bike check and warm up.   We’ll set off from Temple Newsam house and ride through the estate. As this a mixed ability ride we will take a gentle pace around the grounds and lakes.  There will be a mixture of tarmac, bridle and cycle paths. Don't forget to bring some money and a lock if you would like to use the tea rooms after the ride.

Newcomers to Breeze rides are very welcome.  It's a good idea to bring some water and you may also want to bring a snack. Dress appropriately for the weather: in cold weather it's good to wear lots of thin layers, so you can add/remove them as needed; a pair of warm gloves and warm socks may also be useful. Wearing a helmet is advisable, though not essential.

Look forward to seeing you there!

Meet the Champions

  • Wendy Bartholomew
Wendy Bartholomew Hello and welcome to Breeze, I’m Wendy and got back into cycling a couple of years ago with the help of the Breeze ride network. I hadn't cycled for years before that and it was great to rediscover what all the noise is about. It’s such a great way to exercise, get about and see more of the countryside, save money on transport and be sustainable while you are at it. I joined the Breeze network to inspire and help others to share and enjoy the experience of cycling. Breeze rides are a fab way to join other woman cycle with the focus on off road but good cycle paths. There are all sorts of rides on offer up and down the country at a pace and distance that suits you, run by an army of Breeze Champion volunteers . Group rides are informal, friendly, and are a fun and relaxed way to cycle, So give it a go and come and join us.
