Breeze Bike Rides in Leeds

This bike ride will go from the University to the Leeds and Liverpool Canal and back using quiet roads and bridle paths.  The ride will be at a relaxed pace, led by British Cycling trained female ride leaders.  There will be a coffee and cake stop on route so bring a few pennies.

The route will leave the University at the back on Lee Lane W, heading towards the canal. Once on the Canal we head to the cafe just after Appley Bridge. Once we've had a cuppa we'll head back to the University on the same way we headed out.

If you're a student and don’t have your own bike, contact Sheila King at the University at S.king@leedstrinity.ac.uk or 0113 2837274.

  • Wendy Bartholomew Wendy Bartholomew Hello and welcome to Breeze, I’m Wendy and a relative newbie to cycling. I haven’t cycled for years but last year I found my bike at the back of the garage and dusted it off, fixed it up and got back on it after many years of away from the saddle. It’s such a great way to exercise, get about and see more of the countryside that it prompted me to join the Breeze network to inspire and help others to share and enjoy the experience of cycling. Breeze rides are a fab way to join other woman on mainly off road rides, at a pace that suits you. Group rides are an informal, friendly, fun and relaxed way to cycle so I look forward to meeting you on the next ride.
  • Amanda Sowerby Amanda Sowerby Hi! I'm Amanda, I live in Leeds where I helped set up and volunteer at the Pedallers' Arms community bike workshop, and I work in Barnsley as a Sustrans Bike It officer.
