Breeze Bike Rides in High Peak
A gentle winter ride to blow those cobwebs away. This ride follows the Sett Valley trail from New Mills to Hayfield which is traffic free, however there are some roads to cross on the trail and a quiet traffic section in Hayfield to get to Rosie's Tea Rooms. As the trail is flat and totally traffic free this ride is suitable for beginners. The trail is fairly short at only 4km (about 2.5 miles), but we do go there and back so we can justify a slice of cake!
We will be stopping at the half way point to go to a local cafe, 'Rosie's Tea Rooms' for a well deserved break. Please bring a bike lock with you (if you have one) to secure your bike while we stop for a drink.
Please ensure that your bike is roadworthy before you come on the ride. The route is most suitable for bikes with wider tyres as wet weather can make the trail muddy and uneven.
Please bring and wear lots of layers to keep you warm, we are cycling in November and these rides are supposed to be fun. It is always better to be able to take a layer off than feel cold, there is nothing worse to ruin a fun ride. It's a good idea to bring a drink and snack with you to keep you going.
Wearing a helmet is advised but not compulsory for adults.
As with all Breeze Network rides, we will cycle at the speed of the slowest cyclist. You will not be left behind so there is no need to worry!
