Women only Breeze Rides are all about fun, friendly, informal bike rides led by women, for women. They're ideal for all abilities and are great for building confidence and getting some gentle exercise. You might not have ridden a bike for a while and be looking for the easiest way to get back in the saddle, or be looking for a sociable way of getting out and about in your local area. Breeze rides are gently-paced, not too long, and often take in a stop for coffee or a cake. Kids are welcome to come along too.

- The Hassocks Hotel/Pub (just by Hassocks Train Station east side), Station Approach, Hassocks. BN6 8HN
- Overall Duration On a long ride, it’s sometimes good to have a little break in the middle, or maybe a catch up at the beginning or end to keep it sociable. This means that the overall ride duration may be longer than the actual cycling time.

Breeze Bike Rides in Mid Sussex
We will meet at the Bike Hut which is in the pub car park, for 1.30pm
Part of the "Visit Hassocks" cycle routes already mapped out and available here:
Route 1 is the one we plan to ride, it is both on and off road - so a mountain bike would be preferable on this 8 mile loop, but a good quality hybird bike is also ok. Skinny or very slick tyres would not be suitable. There are some inclines to go up, but nothing too technical. Will be muddy in place which may add another dimension to difficulty, and some of the slopes are quite long, so some confidence would be required for this route. But a leisurely-slow pace will be set so we stay together on this ride.
Bikes can be hired on the day if you do not have a suitable one (at a small cost, along with a debit/credit card to secure deposit).
Helmets should be worn if possible (can also be hired). We need to leave promptly at 2pm, so please come to be ready by the Bike Shed especially if you need a bike, at 1.30pm, and we'll leave as soon as we are all ready.
Please call them prior to "book" your bike, and remember to say you're on the "Breeze" ride.
Heres a video Alison made or our pre-ride so you can see some of the route: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5bJFwgXjs90
Come prepared for the weather - a couple of layers, maybe a jacket too, gloves would be good, and good grip on your shoes. Nothing too baggy or loose shoe laces to get stuck in the chain!
We'll stay together as a group, and it will be at a leisurely pace for this ride, hoping all will help each other and encourage everyone to participate and enjoy the area.
Dont forget to see info of other Hassocks rides we've done before (which includes this one) and many more in the area:
