You don't have to be the next Bradley Wiggins, but you'll need to know your way around a bike and be fairly fit to take part in our Challenging rides. If you're comfortable riding with other people and fancy a fresh challenge, these rides are perfect for you. They start at around twenty miles long, and are paced at between 11 and 12 miles an hour.

Meet the Ride Leaders

  • Christopher Wright
Christopher Wright Hi, i'm Chris and i've been cycling the London streets since i was 15 and did a paper round on my bike, before cycling to school. For about the last 20 years i've commuted on my bike to my work locations in the City and West End. I also ride out to the Surrey Hills with my Club at week-ends. I use my bikes for social, sport and work and i hope you get to enjoy riding yours as much as i have riding mine.
  • Steven Armstrong
Steven Armstrong Working also as a cycling instructor in Richmond borough schools I'm a keen cyclist enjoying both on and off road cycling and am passionate about the benefits this activity brings to one and all. Ditched my car in favour of my bikes several years ago and feel much better (and slightly wealthier!) as an end result
  • Andrew Payne
Andrew Payne I have been taking cycling fairly seriously since 2003 and have been a member of the Maidenhead and District Cycle club since that time. During the summer months I regularly take part in time trails of 10, 25, 50 & 100miles. In addition to Skyride leading (now in my 4th year), I'm also a British Cycling level 2 coach and a Bike-ability coach working at schools getting youngsters confident to ride to school. When time allows I'm also a cycling guide for a number of charity events like London to Paris rides I really enjoy the Sky Rides as they are far more social than most of the riding I do and its good to meet people interested in the less competitive end of the cycling spectrum. I'm looking forward to meeting everyone and having an enjoyable day out with good weather.
