Breeze Bike Rides in Coventry

It’s a steady paced ride perfect for intermediates, but there are a few hills, so be prepared for a bit of a climb (nothing too dramatic though!)  We'll be sticking to country roads, but some will be quite fast and busy, so you should be used to cycling in traffic.  It’s a good idea to bring a drink, bike lock, clothing suitable for the weather conditions, and some money if you fancy a drink in the pub at the end of the ride. Wearing a helmet is advisable as we'll be riding on the road, but it's not essential. We really welcome newcomers to our rides and we will always ride at the pace of the slowest rider so no one is left behind. Due to the unpredictablility of the weather, this ride may be cancelled at short notice, as some of the roads used can become dangerous in wet weather.

Meet the Champions

  • Emma Chandler
Emma Chandler Hi I'm Emma I've been passionate about cycling since I was 15, and have never stopped! In fact, I only learnt to drive last year because I didn't want to stop cycling. To be honest I think it's the best way to get fit, so, come rain or shine, I do it everyday to work. It also gives me much needed fresh air in preparation for the day ahead. I know the lanes around West Coventry, Nuneaton, Solihull, Kenilworth and Stoneleigh like the back of my hand! I heard about Breeze from a friend last year, who encouraged me to become a champion. I completed my training May 2013 and did my first ride the following week. I love meeting the group of ladies who turn up on the day and encouraging them to complete the course. Its great when a participant says that they can't do it part way round and then I manage to get them through to the end. Their expression of joy at having the completed the ride makes it all worth while! I'm looking forward to meeting everyone at the Ride!
