Breeze Bike Rides in Havering

A gentle 8 mile ride starting by Central Park Leisure Centre which follows pathways and tracks to Pages Wood.

Once we've checked over our bikes, we will follow some of the National Cycle Network through Central Park, along Paynes Brook, into Harold Court Woods and Pages Wood. We will then return on the same pathways back to Central Park. The majority of this ride is traffic free, where we do use roads they are quiet residential so this would suit a beginner rider.

The route is ideal for new cyclists, those who havent been on a bike in a while or those wishing to gain confidence cycling.

Under 18s must wear a helmet, for all others it is advisable but not essential.

There is no cafe stop on this ride so please remember to bring a water bottle and snacks for the halfway rest.

We will be departing at 0900 so please arrive 15 minutes before the start of the ride.

This route is NOT suitable for a road bike due to some gravel / track surfaces. Hybrids, MTB and tourers will all be fine.

Meet the Champions

  • Michelle Ault Michelle Ault Hello there!

When I was a kid I cycled a LOT, then at 18 I moved to London and didn't really ride again until the last couple of years. I had become wobbly, unfit, gained a lot of weight and didn't love my bike but after a few miles and getting rid of the cobwebs, I rode from London to Paris on my two wheels!
Now, I love my bike (named Daisy!), I love the freedom and pure joy of even going a mile or to the shops. I want to show you that you can go a short distance and feel fantastic for it!! I want to show you that you have the confidence to go out on your bike - as the great Freddie Mercury sung: Get on your bike and ride :-)
