Big Breeze Bike Ride - 40 mile Market Bosworth Battle

Breeze Bike Rides in North Warwickshire

Building up your distances then come along on this 40 mile bike ride stopping off half way to the beautiful market town of Market Bosworth.  We will be heading out of Polesworth in Nr Warwickshire along the winding country lanes and through some picturesque villages, zigzagging across different counties.  This ride is suited for the more experienced rider who wishes to clock up some extra miles or wish to push themselves that bit further.  Don’t be put off by the distance; no one will be left behind.  We will have a couple of pit stops on the way but will be stopping off in Market Bosworth for a spot of lunch (or bacon sandwich your choice) so bring some cash and lock for your bike. 

Please ensure your bike is in good working order, tyres are pumped, spare inner tube at the ready, bring snacks and drinks to keep you going and don’t forget the helmet.

This ride is suited for a road or hybrid bike, it may take quite a few hours so be prepared it will take a chunk out of your day.  We are hoping to average 11-13mph so need a good level of fitness but the aim of the ride is to enjoy your surroundings, have fun and a chat along the way with like-minded ladies.  So be brave and book up!

• Stephanie Walker Hi my name is steph and I am 37 years of age and work full time as a renal haemodialysis nurse. My family is growing up fast and have found that I am becoming redundant as a mother (unless I am spending money on the kids). With this spare time what a great opportunity to share my passion of cycling with others, I have completed the breeze training and a cycle instructor offering Bike Ability courses in my local area. I have been riding socially for the last couple of years with family and friends and love to get out on the quiet country lanes. I look forward to meeting you and spread the word about the breeze network to family and friends!
• Lisa Taylor I’m Lisa, a part time Food Technology teacher and full time Mum of two. In 2010 I completed a 100km sportive and last year cycled from Birmingham to Oxford for charity and loved it.....77 miles! I became a Breeze champion to encourage and meet other ladies wanting to enjoy the great outdoors on two wheels!
• Lorraine Doran Hi my name is Lorraine. I have cycled for many years and really enjoy both the fitness side of cycling and the social side. I am a senior road safety officer for Solihull Council and I am very lucky that part of my remit is to deliver bikeability to adults and students who live and work in Solihull. I am an accredited train the trainer and have also successfully completed Level One of MIAS (mountain bike instructor course). I have been a Breeze champion for British Cycling for twelve months and have met lots of lovely people. So come along to a ride and I look forward to meeting you to.
