Breeze Bike Rides in Lincoln

Dr Bike!

A bit different this session - it's not a ride! It's an interactive basic bike maintenence session for Women, led by Trevor "Dr Bike" Marsh from Sustrans.

Trevor is an experienced cyclist / mechanic, and regularly runs drop in sessions at Sustrans Marina workshop on the university campus, as well as sessions throughout the school holidays for younger people at the Showroom in Lincoln.

He has been delivering session for a few weeks now on Thursday's for Breeze participants, but has agreed to run a session on a Tuesday so that the Lincoln Loop regulars can attend.

This session is interactive, so bring your bike, and bear in mind that you may get dirty when you choose your outfit for the evening!

Place are limited, so please make sure that you book. The session will commence at 6pm and run until 7.30pm. The nearby "Shed" pub/bar will also be open too, so anyone wanting refreshments afterwards can do so.

Hope to see you there!

Don’t forget…. Breeze are on a mission to spread the word about their rides, and need your help. If you introduce one friend who goes on to take part in a Breeze ride, you’ll receive a Breeze water bottle, introduce a second friend, you’ll be the proud owner of one of their swish Breeze Buffs, and introduce a third friend and Breeze will send you £15 of Love2Shop vouchers. Meet the Champions

  • Lou Christy
Lou Christy A 30 something Lincolnshire Yellowbelly, committed cycle commuter, and longer distance saunterer (if there is such a word)! I took up cycling in early 2012 and haven't looked back - a fan of sustainable transport and active travel, I'm also a big advocate of the role cycling can play in helping to manage mental ill-health and promote recovery. Hope to see you on a ride soon, and look forward to meeting you!
  • Melanie Carroll
Melanie Carroll Me? Fun, friendly, a bit of a cycle chimp! Cycles to work most every day, and loves to cycle even in the rain. In fact loves to cycle in the rain - it's just really fun, but then so is cycling in the sun, or in a gentle breeze but not when it's blowing a gale! Short rides are lovely and long rides are a dream, but I'm not a speed racer as I love to enjoy the view with a few stops for pictures and refreshments too :D Riding a sit up and beg bike but can't pull off that Copenhagen cycle chic they all talk about, probably due to being a bit of a cycle chimp (just ask the mascot on the front of my bike!).
I love to cycle and I really hope that I can share that love with lots of other people too, partly why I'm also a National Standards Cycling Instructor. My day to day cycle commute takes me to my Independent bookshop - Unicorn Tree Books & Crafts in Lincoln Central Market - and I'm as passionate and committed to books, crafts and community as I am to cycling :D
