Sky Ride Local in Middlesbrough

If you're fairly confident on your bike and ready to broaden your cycling horizons, our Steady rides are ideal. At a comfortable pace, and possibly with some modest hills along the way, rides take place on mainly quiet roads with plenty of sights along the way. Rides are between 6 and 20 miles long, at a moderate pace of between 7 and 10 miles an hour.

This ride starts from Middlesbrough College and then passes the Transporter Bridge and Dinosaur park before following the cycle path alongside the River Tees, to the Barrage. On the way you'll pass under Newport Bridge one of only two Vertical lift bridges in Europe. This lovely ride along the river uses local cycle paths and so is a completely traffic free route.

Vicky Crowe There is nothing better than being on a bike in the fresh air. Freedom, fun, a sociable ride or a blast on my own. Being out on the bike is like a dose of feel good therapy :) I have met so many new friends through cycling - and explored so many new 'unkown' areas via Breeze and SkyRide. Its a wonderful feeling knowing that I can encourage others to do the same.

Simon Richmond Hi. I started riding roughly over 3 years ago, Initially I set myself a target to complete a local charity bike ride and gave myself 8 months to train for this that's how i came upon Sky Rides. I wasn't the fittest and im still not but i find cycling great fun and enjoyable and have met some great people through getting out on my bike. I'll look forward to meeting you on the next ride
