Meet the Ride Leaders

  • Nabeel Akram Nabeel Akram Hi, now in my 2nd year as a ride leader. I'm a recreational cyclist who needed to get fit and took up cycling in 2012.. and caught the bug..

Cycling on my own initially I discovered Sky Ride towards the end of 2012. It's been a great experience and I've met some great people on the rides. I hope I can help you have a good an experience of this initiative as I have had.
  • Robert Welham Robert Welham Hi, this is my first year as a Sky Ride Leader. I am a keen rider of both on and off road rides.

In my younger days I used to road race and time trial but now I am starting to enjoy a more leisurely pace on my bike.

In addition to cycling I am a big fan of the Mighty Daggers ( Dagenham & Redbridge FC ) and Photoghraphy which has enabled me to travel.

I am looking forward to meeting lots of new people and encourage them to give cycling a go.

I cycle most days both for fitness and because my employer is happy to pay me to ride a bike at work, but best of all enjoy cycling with my teenage son who still thinks he can beat me.

I look forward to meeting you soon and hope that you all have as much fun on a bike as I do.
  • Mark Adams Mark Adams Took up cycling again as a commuter but now also enjoy charity rides, sportives and family rides.
