Breeze Bike Rides in Solihull

This is a Steady ride suitable for women who are beginners who feel they are ready to go that little bit further. Its 10 miles at an easy pace around the country lanes of Packwood and Lapworth. We will meet at Dorridge Village Hall (parking available in the Village Hall car park).

Please bring a spare inner tube with you just in case of puncture and one of us will be able  help you replace this.  If you don’t have one don’t worry it’s not essential.

There is a very short section on Grange Road but then we turn onto beautiful quiet lanes, riding through countryside and passing through Packwood House. At the end of the ride those who wish can join us for a drink at the Railway Inn. Please bring some money if you’d like to buy refreshments.

We really welcome newcomers to our rides; we will always ride at the pace of the slowest rider so no one is left behind.

Coming far?  The nearest train station is Dorridge around 5 minutes ride away.  For more information on train times please see the National Rail Enquiries website.

Need a bike?  Why not hire one from Midland Cycle Hire.  For more information please see their website.

Meet the Champions

  • Siobhan Scanlon
    Siobhan Scanlon Hi,

Back in June 2011, I was keen to get cycling back into my life but cycling to work to maintain some fitness, was proving impossible to achieve, with work and family stuff!

I then found Breeze rides and have not looked back. Participating in the Breeze rides, I met lots of interested likeminded ladies, and made some great cycling buddies, whilst enjoying some wonderful rides out, evenings and weekends to a variety of local destinations.

I enjoyed the variety of rides on offer all year round, which I could match to my other commitments and fitness levels.

I loved the rides so much, and with much encouragement from other Breeze Champions, I trained as a Breeze Champion in 2012.

Almost 5 years on, I am still loving life out pedalling, leading rides, chatting with my cycle buddies and enjoying the wonders of restorative coffee and cake.
  • Christine Robbins
Christine Robbins Hi, I'm Chris and I've loved cycling since I was a kid- I can still remember the excitement of getting a brand new red and blue bike at my seventh birthday party and riding it round the garden non-stop, ignoring all my little guests! These days I love the sense of freedom being out on two wheels brings- you just forget everything and enjoy the fresh air and the scenery. The great thing about the Breeze rides is that we always take time to stop for a coffee and a chat and it's a brilliant way to meet some new friends. Fun, friends, freedom and it's free.....hope you'll join us soon!
