Overall Duration On a long ride, it’s sometimes good to have a little break in the middle, or maybe a catch up at the beginning or end to keep it sociable. This means that the overall ride duration may be longer than the actual cycling time.

Breeze Bike Rides in Eden

Join us for a leisurely 11 mile ride from Greystoke.  This will be a gentle ride on the road exploring the villages around Greystoke, near Penrith.  We will finish with a cake and coffee at the Cycle Cafe in Greystoke, a well earned reward. This ride will be suitable for all abilities; the route is all on good tarmac roads and will be suitable for all bike types.

We will start from the car park in Greystoke and will cycle along quiet B roads.  During the ride we will pass through the villages of Blencow, Skelton, Ellonby, Lamonby, Johnby and then return to Greystoke.  There are stunning views of the Pennines on this route and we will also get to see Blencow Hall.

We will always ride at the pace of the slowest rider so no one is left behind.  Our aim is for everyone to enjoy their ride and to enjoy their cake at the end.

Remember to wear clothes that are comfortable to cycle in.  It is a good idea to bring a waterproof jacket and a bottle of water.  We always recommend that you wear a cycle helmet.

Julie Labbett I have enjoyed riding since I was a child and continue to cycle as I enjoy the social side of a ride as much as the ride. I really enjoy mountain biking and the fun of the downhill. I enjoy a ride just so I can get out on my bike. Cake at the end of a ride is also important and a great way to finish a ride.
