Breeze Bike Rides in Sunderland

This is a gentle ride on a mostly flat route that will take us from St Benedict's Hospice via the Marina into Sunderland and back.  We’ll stop for a well deserved coffee and cake so please bring some money and a bike lock.


This is perfect for beginners of those that have not been out on a bike for a while. We really welcome newcomers to our rides; we will always ride at the pace of the slowest rider so no one is left behind


Wearing a helmet is advisable; if you don’t have one please do not to worry you can still take part.  If you enjoy the bike ride and would like to come again perhaps you could look to buy one then. 


The weather is likely to be chilly, so please wear warm clothes. 


This ride will form part of the training plan for a ride to celebrate the opening of the new St Benedict's Hospice in Sunderland.

  • Victoria Hewitt Victoria Hewitt Hi! My name's Victoria and I've been a Breeze Champion since Sept 2012. I'm a qualified doctor and I started cycling as a way of getting fit, de-stressing and saving the environment all at the same time. Not bad when you're a busy working mum!

    I soon realized that I was surrounded by women just like me, who wanted to start cycling but didn't know how. Hence I became a Breeze Champion, and I've enjoyed every moment. I hope you will too...
