Breeze Bike Rides in Bradford

Just over the bridge, turn left - there is a large open field with goal posts in.

This is a nice gentle ride 10 miles return trip from Ilkley to Bolton Abbey and back.  Avoiding the busy main roads this route uses the beautiful country lanes via Beamsley.  Once at Bolton Abbey we will be resting and having refreshments at the pavilion before the return journey.

Please be aware that although using the quieter route, it is NOT traffic free.  Also there are hills on this route, all with convenient resting places at the top to catch your breath; but remember there is no shame in pushing your bike :o).

Wearing a helmet is advisable; if you don’t have one please do not worry you can still take part.  If you enjoy the bike ride and would like to come again perhaps you could look to buy one then.

It's a good idea to bring some water and you may also want to bring a snack.   You will need a bike that is in good working order and should bring clothes for all weathers - layers are often best.

Look forward to seeing you there!

Our contact numbers on the day are 07940 975 971 or 07742 521 787

Meet the Champions

  • Judy Robinson
Judy Robinson They tell me that I'm the oldest Breeze champion on their books but that doesn't worry me, as riding my bike again after so many years has certainly given me a new lease of life. Just happy to be here, I'm no longer competitive. I don't go fast, far or steep, but I do love my bike and want to pass on my enthusiasm to others so they also may enjoy the joy and freedom that riding a bike can give, share the fun that I'm having and get fitter in the process. If I can do it, I'm sure you can.
  • Shirley Crossley
Shirley Crossley I am a casual cyclist who likes to potter and enjoy the scenery etc as I ride. The picture to the left shows how hard my rides are, we always have a good laugh on my rides and if we feel lazy, we will be lazy, if we want to challenge ourselves then we might just have a slice of cake with our cuppa :o)
