Breeze Bike Rides in Redbridge

This ride will take us out on the roads from Woodford Green, through Epping Forest to Epping and return. We will head up the Epping New Road, through the forest to High Beech and then out onto the main road towards Epping.  Depending on the group we may loop around the back of Epping before returning to High Beech for a well earned cup of tea and then back to our starting point.

It is ideal for you want to progress onto longer rides or are preparing for a sportive or other longer distance cycling events. You will need a bike suitable for riding longer distances on the road.  This ride is not suitable for beginners.

Please bring something to drink and a snack and/ or money for tea and cake.  The Breeze champion carries tools and will help if anyone has a puncture or mechanical issues but we don't carry spare inner tubes so a spare suitable for your bike is useful to bring along.

Please contact us via the Breeze network East London Facebook group, you will need to have a Facebook account to become part of the group.  If you are not on Facebook please email me at claire@impact.uk.net.

Look forward to seeing you there!

Meet the Champions

  • Tracey Willcox Tracey Willcox As a teenager I got involved in cycling and joined a club. It was a great way the see the Essex lanes and make friends. In my twenties I bought a mountain bike and enjoyed cycling with friends in Epping Forest. After having not cycled for years, I changed jobs to a place where I couldn't park, so I decided to dig the bike out and cycle as it was only 3 miles. I found I got fitter and really enjoyed my ride. It also got me cycling with my children.
A friend of mine was a Breeze Champion who encouraged me to join her rides, which I really enjoyed, when telling other friends I realised they would also like to out on their bikes but either don't know where to go or are worried about cycling on their own. The opportunity came up to be trained - so here we are!!
  • Claire Townsend Claire Townsend I have been riding on and off since I was a child but did not get into riding on a regular basis until I started doing Triathlons about 10 years ago. My Tri days are now over but my love of cycling has continued and I now really enjoy leading the Breeze rides as well as getting out on a Sunday morning on my road bike. I am also an NSI Cycle Instructor. Breeze rides are a great way to get out on a bike with like minded women and we are always supportive and ensure that anyone who joins a ride has a great experience
