Overall Duration On a long ride, it’s sometimes good to have a little break in the middle, or maybe a catch up at the beginning or end to keep it sociable. This means that the overall ride duration may be longer than the actual cycling time.

Breeze Bike Rides in North Dorset

International Women's Day is a global day celebrating the economic, political and social achievements of women past, present and future.
Suffragettes campaigned for women's right to vote. The word 'Suffragette' is derived from the word "suffrage" meaning the right to vote. International Women's Day honours the work of the Suffragettes, celebrates women's success, and reminds of inequities still to be redressed.
Why not join us for a Breeze ride to celebrate the success of women’s cycling!
This ride takes us on a gentle circular ride round the quiet lanes of Woolland setting off from Dairy House Farm in Woolland -(www.thevictorianbarn.co.uk) - with an option to extend the ride towards Hazelbury Bryan.  It is a perfect ride for beginners or those who would just like an opportunity to stretch their cycling legs with a few friends.  We can ride for up to an hour and just take it easy.
Then after our ride, if you wish, for a small fee you can relax in the pool, take a sauna or work out in the gym at www.thevictorianbarn.co.uk/leisure
We will be riding every Friday from outside the pool at 1130 (but not on Friday 22nd Feb  - half term) so do come along and join in the fun.  We will need to bring our own refreshments for our post ride refuel but when the sun is shining and the weather warms up we can enjoy a picnic outside taking in the beautiful views over the Blackmore Vale.
We will be riding on the roads and therefore a helmet would be advisable but it is up to you.  We ride at the pace of the slowest person, so no-one need worry about being left behind.
This is a good opportunity to get (back) on your bike in a safe and supportive group setting.  I would love to see you ride with us.

Meet the Champions

  • Maria Timperley Maria Timperley Hello. My name is Maria and about 14 years ago I became a born again newbie rider after having not really ridden much since I was a child. I really enjoy social rides that include a good chat along the way, stopping to take in the scenery and finding a good cafe or a pub for a break or as a reward at the end. I love the outdoors and riding my bike gives me a really good feeling inside - and usually a fresh, bright, slightly red face on the outside! If you haven't ridden for a long time - or would just like to meet up with other like minded folk why not come along for the ride!
