Sunday 10th February at 2.00pm This is what time the ride will set off. It’s best to get to the starting point at least 15 minutes beforehand to avoid missing the start.

Women only Breeze Rides are all about fun, friendly, informal bike rides led by women, for women. They're ideal for all abilities and are great for building confidence and getting some gentle exercise. You might not have ridden a bike for a while and be looking for the easiest way to get back in the saddle, or be looking for a sociable way of getting out and about in your local area. Breeze rides are gently-paced, not too long, and often take in a stop for coffee or a cake. Kids are welcome to come along too.

Overall Duration On a long ride, it’s sometimes good to have a little break in the middle, or maybe a catch up at the beginning or end to keep it sociable. This means that the overall ride duration may be longer than the actual cycling time.

Breeze Bike Rides in West Berkshire

Now that the first indications that spring might be on its way have appeared, why not get out now and join us for a nice, gentle ride around Greenham Common. The paths are mostly flat, wide and undemanding and ideal for beginners and anyone who enjoys spinning the wheels and chatting. Even at this time of year, there are plenty of nice, mild days that are a joy to go out cycling on.


The paths are gravelly and can cause punctures so please bring a spare inner tube suitable for your bike. Helmets aren't required but it is still advisable to wear one even on a traffic-free route. Please wear clothing suitable to the indecisive British weather and bear in mind that it is quite exposed on Greenham Common and quite often windy. You may wish to bring some snack bars to keep up energy levels and bringing a drink is always advisable to keep yourself hydrated.

    I love cycling, of all types on all bikes and have done since I was little. Whether its on road or off road or both. I used to take my girls bike out onto the local BMX track! I also love exploring and finding new routes, and being on a bike means I get to explore even further. I'd love to share my bike rides with other ladies and encourage more people to get out there on their bikes and see the countryside. We have the best cycling environment in Newbury with Greenham Common on one side, the Ridgeway just to the North and the Kennet and Avon Canal in the middle. Something for everyone, whatever the weather. I hope you can join me.
