Overall Duration On a long ride, it’s sometimes good to have a little break in the middle, or maybe a catch up at the beginning or end to keep it sociable. This means that the overall ride duration may be longer than the actual cycling time.

Breeze Bike Rides in Durham

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE CLASS AT THE LEISURE CENTRE IS NOW FULL AND THEREFORE I CANNOT TAKE ANY FURTHER BOOKINGS - List of confirmed bookings  made with me is on our  Facebook page - Breeze network Durham

We’ve already done a virtual ride on the X-Bikes.  Would you like to try a class? We’ll join a regular session at the Active life @Coxhoe Leisure Centre on Sunday 10th February. It’s a mixed gender session and not exclusively for Breeze.  It’ll be led by a female instructor called Kelly. It will give us the opportunity to learn all the X-Bike ‘moves’ and enjoy a good workout.  A great way to keep our fitness while we’re not guaranteed an outdoor ride.

As this is not a normal Breeze bike ride and is run through the Leisure centre there is a charge.  The cost of the session is £5 to be paid directly to the Active life centre.  The class commences at 9.30, so we’ll meet at reception at 9.15 (ladies who have not been to the Centre before will need to complete some paperwork)

After a good workout…we can go to No 17 Coffee shop in the village for a well deserved cup of coffee and chat!

I’ve reserved a limited amount of places for this session.  If you are interested in joining us, please can you contact me on my mobile so that I can book you a place at the Centre.

Hope to see you there

Meet the Champions

  • Sylvia Bell Sylvia Bell Hi
I've been back riding a bike for 3 years now.

Inspired by my children's love of riding, I joined my local NHS Get Active cycling scheme. I was hooked! I still participate in the scheme and regularly ride socially 2-3 times a week. It's a great way to keep fit both physically and psychologically.

I'm hoping I can introduce others to enjoy the pleasure of riding their bikes too!

Look forward to meeting you on our rides.

    Sylvia
  • Audrey Christie Audrey Christie Although a working mum I will always make sure there is time for a cycle ride. It's a passport to freedom and independence and a chance for a natter. What better way to spend time but on a Breeze ride.
