Breeze Bike Rides in Mid Devon

An enjoyable relaxing ride along the Grand Western Canal tow path towards Tiverton. There will be lots to see even in these earlier months of the year.

We will have to take a slight detour onto quiet country lanes due to the damage caused to the Canal during the recent floods.

Once we reach Tiverton we will have time to explore the new visitor centre and if open grab a cup of tea from the Cafe. I will bring some large flasks of water with tea & coffee etc....  There are public free toilets here.

After our break we will cycle back along the tow path to the Sampford Peveral car park. 

There are public toilets at the car park as well

I would recommend that you try to wear suitable clothing for the weather conditions. A good pair of warm gloves is highly advisable. Don't worry if you think you will be too warm as I will  be able to carry excess kit on my bike. 

If you need to hire a bike you can at Abbotshood bike hire in Halberton. I do recommend that you contact them before the day to organise when you are going to pick it up.

Meet the Champions

• Kate Howell Hi, My name is Kate Howell and I have enjoyed cycling for as long as I can remember. I enjoy cycling around my local country lanes and using my bike to get away from it all.
  
  I work as a cycling instructor and have taught 6- 55 year olds how to ride a bike and cycle safer on the roads. I also run an electric bike hire and tour guide company in the Mid Devon and Blackdown Hills area so it doesn't matter if you don't think you have the fitness to cycle hills.
