Women only
Breeze Rides are all about fun, friendly, informal bike rides led by women, for women. They're ideal for all abilities and are great for building confidence and getting some gentle exercise. You might not have ridden a bike for a while and be looking for the easiest way to get back in the saddle, or be looking for a sociable way of getting out and about in your local area. Breeze rides are gently-paced, not too long, and often take in a stop for coffee or a cake. Kids are welcome to come along too.

Breeze Bike Rides in Durham
Back by popular request is our ride from Broompark Picnic area to Knitsley. It’s lovely ride of approx 23miles along the Lanchester Valley railway path to the farm shop/café at Knitsley. Here we’ll stop for a well earned drink and snack.
A mountain or hybrid bike is recommended.
We’ll aim to complete the ride at a reasonable pace, but we will ride at the pace of the slowest rider and will not leave anyone behind. It is a gradual climb up to Knitlsey so we can enjoy a quicker return….even with tired legs!
Please dress appropriately for winter weather, lots of layers and warm gloves advisable. It’s still a good idea to bring an extra drink /snack and also some cash to sample the delights of the café.
As this is a winter ride when you register can you please supply a telephone/mobile no. This is just in case adverse weather conditions mean a late change or cancellation of the ride. It would also be useful if you have a spare inner tube; it’s much quicker to replace a tube than repair a puncture…our aim is to keep riding and keep warm.
Wearing a helmet is compulsory.
We’re looking forward to our first Breeze ride of 2013. We hope you can join us.
