Breeze Bike Rides in Leeds

We’ll start from the bustling village of Boston Spa.  Taking the quiet country lanes through the village we’ll head for the route 66 traffic free cycle path.  Along the way we’ll pass Wetherby Racecourse and beautiful Yorkshire countryside.
The 8 mile circular route is suitable for beginners and we will ride at the pace of the slowest rider so no one is left behind. We will stop for plenty of breaks and find a cafe along the way to have a tea and cake so please bring some money.
Newcomers to Breeze rides are very welcome.  It's a good idea to bring some water and you may also want to bring a snack. Dress appropriately for the weather: in cold weather it's good to wear lots of thin layers, so you can add/remove them as needed; a pair of warm gloves and warm socks may also be useful. Wearing a helmet is advisable; if you don’t have one please do not to worry you can still take part.  If you enjoy the bike ride and would like to come again perhaps you could look to buy one then.
We’ll look forward to seeing you there!
Angela

Meet the Champions

  • Angela Gaunt Angela Gaunt Hi there, I'm Angela and I'm a mum of two young children and have enjoyed the benefits of cycling all my life. I have an older brother who was a successful road racing cyclist so from a very young age I have followed the sport, although I have never raced myself - not competitive enough!! I had quite major hip surgery a couple of years ago and getting back out on my bike was the best medication I could get. I enjoy taking all the family out and about on their bikes as we live in an ideal area for cycling - traffic free routes and quite country roads - and not many hills!! (when you have your child on the back of you - that's quite important!.) I hope you will be able to join me on one of my lead rides soon.
