Breeze Bike Rides in Solihull

Join us for a leisure ride through the pretty lanes of Earlswood passing by Earlswood lakes through Hockley Heath and onto Lapworth where we will cycle through the grounds of the 16th century Packwood House where we will see some of the famous 17th century collection of Yews. We will then continue on towards Dorridge then return back along the Lanes to Earlswood for coffee and cakes at the craft centre.  This ride is suitable for ladies who are confident at handling their bikes and looking to build up their fitness it is a fairly flat ride with only a couple of slight inclines.

The route we shall take is approx 12 miles

Please can you make sure you have a spare inner tube for your bike as we do not carry tubes for all tyres and this time of year punctures are pretty common. It's a good idea to bring some water and you may also want to bring a snack. Wearing a helmet is advisable; if you don’t have one please do not to worry you can still take part.  If you enjoy the bike ride and would like to come again perhaps you could look to buy one then.

Everyone’s welcome – look forward to seeing you there!

PLEASE NOTE In case of bad weather ride may be cancelled please call either Lorraine 07899 710786 or Sue 07748 986782 to check

Meet the Champions

  • Lorraine Doran Lorraine Doran Hi my name is Lorraine. I have cycled for many years and really enjoy both the fitness side of cycling and the social side. I am a senior road safety officer for Solihull Council and I am very lucky that part of my remit is to deliver bikeability to adults and students who live and work in Solihull. I am an accredited train the trainer and have also successfully completed Level One of MIAS (mountain bike instructor course). I have been a Breeze champion for British Cycling for twelve months and have met lots of lovely people. So come along to a ride and I look forward to meeting you to.
  • Sue Palmer Sue Palmer Hi my name is Sue and I am a Breeze/Sky ride leader. I have been cycling now for 7 years but in the last couple of years more regularly. In 2011 I completed my first 100mile in a day it took 7hrs 13mins with 3 coffee stops, the feeling at the end was awesome in 2012 I also completed 10 sportives over the summer months and another 100mile. I am now looking forward to passing on the knowledge I have gained and encouraging others to get the enjoyment from cycling that I do. I am a qualified National Standards Cycle Instructor and am working with students around the Solihull borough. So why not come and join us on the many varied and friendly rides that we do in the pretty country lanes, parks/cycle paths and canal towpaths in and around Midlands.
