Sky Ride Local in Milton Keynes

Challenging ride on the road for adults only If you’ve been riding a road bike for a while, and perhaps been thinking about joining a cycling club, these rides – brand new for 2012 – are for you. The prospect of a speedy pace over twenty to fifty miles, and the strong likelihood of some hills thrown in along the way, means our Ride Strong Plus rides are not for the faint-hearted.

Come and join us for a gorgeous thirty mile ride on a great figure of eight route. Within just two miles we'll be in beautiful rolling countryside to the south and west of Milton Keynes, passing through many pretty and well-kept villages. But the real jewel in the crown is on the return stretch where the route passes through Woburn Park. Your teeth mightt be chattering going over the cattle grids, but the reward is seeing hundreds of deer roaming the parkland.

If you've already tried one of our Ride Strong Plus rides and you're ready for the next challenge, why not try a British Cycling Sportive?

Meet the Ride Leaders

  • Ritchie Dixon Ritchie Dixon Hi
I've been cycling all my life, from paper-rounds as a kid, to charity rides in my late teens (London to Brighton etc), a few cycle tours in Europe in my early 20's, then weekly rides with the Cyclists' Touring Club and Team MK club runs and Time Trials.
For the last six years I've been a Bikeability cycling instructor, teaching adults and school children. If I can make a journey by bike or car, I choose the bike!
I've been a Skyride leader since 2011 and, when I have the time, take out a Tuesday Social Cycling Group.
  • Liane Higham Liane Higham Hi, I have been cycling for a few years now and love it, I have completed Sportives in the UK & abroad including Cape Argus, P2P & C2C. I ride a Road Bike & 29'r MTB bike as well as a tourer/crosser for coaching and have a lovely vintage Raleigh. I really love getting more people out on their bikes to have some fun, get fitter & feel great. I qualified as a Breeze Champion May '12 and lead regular rides for a great group & have 'newbies out most weeks! My entry level rides are great for those who own but rarely ride their bikes due to lack of confidence and worries about traffic/fitness etc. Our rides are mainly on cycle paths and country lanes around Northampton & always involve a coffee & cake! I also lead Breeze & Skyrides in Bucks & Beds and last winter offered entry level MTB skills rides with Get_Mtb. My day job is as a cycle coach teaching Bikeability in Northants Schools, I am currently looking at attaining the Go-Ride coaching qualification too. Really looking forward to my Breeze touring/camping holiday again this year as well!
