Meet the Ride Leaders

  • Ian Gent Ian Gent Hi, I'm Ian, I've been a keen cyclist and mountain bike rider for many years. This is my 4th year as Sky Ride Leader. I've got a good knowledge of the local ride routes. I'm equally happy doing road or trail rides that can be 5 or 50 miles, so can help you to enjoy your Sky ride whatever your level of cycling. Sky riding is about having fun on your bike in a safe environment - so book on to a ride and have a very enjoyable day out
  • Stephen Downing Stephen Downing A few years ago, I only rode on my own for distances of about 5 miles, and then I decided to join a SkyRide as a participant. After riding a few, my confidence grew and grew, and now I'm a competent sportive rider, completing distances of 100 miles and above.

I strongly believe that cycling is a sport for all, and for all to enjoy, no matter what level you choose to cycle at. Most who look at me don't believe I can do what I can on two wheels, but I can because I am confident. I want to help others to be as confident as me, so I became a Ride Leader to give something back to the sport!

SkyRides will help, and I hope you see you on one soon.
  • Adam Condron Adam Condron Hi My name's Adam and I love to ride my bike. I remember the absolute joy it used to give me as a kid and how I lost that joy when I learnt how to drive. Now I'm back on my bike and I ride nearly every day and I love it as much as I did when I was younger. Through skyride I have made some great mates that I go riding with most weekends. A few years ago I have joined the skyride team so that I can help others re-discover the massive amount of fun you can have riding your bike with your mates. So bring your bike and be prepared to make some new friends and have laugh, oh and it's good for you too !
