Women only
Breeze Rides are all about fun, friendly, informal bike rides led by women, for women. They're ideal for all abilities and are great for building confidence and getting some gentle exercise. You might not have ridden a bike for a while and be looking for the easiest way to get back in the saddle, or be looking for a sociable way of getting out and about in your local area. Breeze rides are gently-paced, not too long, and often take in a stop for coffee or a cake. Kids are welcome to come along too.

Breeze Bike Rides in Northumberland
This is the perfect ride if you want to go a little further, but lack confidence when cycling on the road.
This is a 9 mile ride on quiet roads and country lanes. It's a gently undulating route through pretty Northumberland countryside and villages. Starting from Stamfordham, we'll cycle along to Matfen calling in at the coffee shop there for refreshments (bring some money if you'd like tea/coffee/cake) before looping back round to Stamfordham.
If the weather is bad we can take a more direct route to Matfen and back which is only 6 miles.
At this time of year fingers and toes get cold very quickly so make sure you've got good socks and gloves. Layers of clothing are a good idea. We also recommend a helmet, but they're not compulsory.
Thanks to some excellent training from the Bike Hub in Newcastle, I can now change an inner tube if you get a puncture, so bring a spare inner tube for your bike too!
Everyone keep your fingers crossed for a nice day...
Newcomers to Breeze rides are especially welcome.
