Social Cycling Groups in Windsor and Maidenhead
Due to excessive flooding in surrey areas i am changing to ride to sunday as the weather looks a lot more promising...
You are about to embark on a journey of Epic proportions.......
I have recently done this ride and would rate it 9/10 and trust me its an awesome ride :)))
The plan is to meet at Datchet Train station (Surrey) at sharp 9 a.m and start cycling at 9:10am.
Datchet train station is easily accessibly via clapham junction or waterloo station.
From Datchet we will cycle into Eton and then Marlow via Maidenhead where we still stop for a nice cuppa hot chocolate and some cakes :))
From Marlow to Fingest and then down to Henley on Thames where we will have lunch. From there straight down back to Datchet train station.
This ride is very exciting with some beautiful country lanes and villages. A good mix of hills and flat roads. Quite challenging but very doable.
The whole route is on tarmac with very little off road cycling.
Purpose of this ride is to have fun and enjoy a good day out with like minded people. No one will be left behind.
I would consider this a leisure ride where we will try to maintain a gentle pace to accommodate different levels of fitness.
This Ride is not suitable for under 16's as most of the ride is on public roads.
You are not required to wear a helmet - but do so if you have one.
Spaces are limited (8 only) so pls if you do book - make sure you attend the event or cancel your spot.
Also when booking pls take into account the time it will take us to have lunch or any other delays - Both of which I have no control over.
Also this ride is weather dependant. If there is heavy rain or thunderstorms in the forecast on BBC pls consider this ride cancelled. I will up date this few days prior to the ride to keep everyone updated.
