Women only
Breeze Rides are all about fun, friendly, informal bike rides led by women, for women. They're ideal for all abilities and are great for building confidence and getting some gentle exercise. You might not have ridden a bike for a while and be looking for the easiest way to get back in the saddle, or be looking for a sociable way of getting out and about in your local area. Breeze rides are gently-paced, not too long, and often take in a stop for coffee or a cake. Kids are welcome to come along too.

Breeze Bike Rides in Chorley
This ride to Johnson's Hill Lock follows a pretty route along the canal towpath.
We'll meet at the Jubilee Recreation Ground car park in Adlington for a warm up (chat) and a quick bike check. Then we’ll head off from the White Bear Marina passing through woodland along the way. We'll take a break at Johnson's lock before heading back the way we came.
This is a gentle ride on a mostly flat and traffic free route. The total length of the ride is around 11 miles. It’s a really nice path which is suitable for mountain bikes or bikes with fairly sturdy tyres. Perfect for beginners and anyone who’s not been on a bike for a while too!
It's a good idea to bring some water and you may also want to bring a snack if you think your energy levels may need topping up along the way. Wearing a helmet is advisable, though not essential. If you have a spare inner tube great please bring one along but not to worry if you don’t. It’s always good to take a few layers to cope with our British weather, a waterproof is always advisable and some cash would be handy if you wish to join us for a nice latte in one of the local cafes at the end of the ride.
It’s a great way to burn 373 calories - not that anyone is counting!
Look forward to seeing you there!
