Breeze Bike Rides in Wolverhampton

The ride starts and finishes at The Bonded Warehouse, Stourbridge. Please arrive at 10.45am for an 11am start.

From there, conditions allowing, we will ride along the canal towpath towards Kinver. We will have time to admire the canal boats and wildlife as we meander along the path on two wheels. Should the towpath be impassable, a road route to Kinver will be taken.

Enjoy a café stop in Kinver, a quaint historical Staffordshire village where we will have time for a chat and share cycling experiences past, present and future. Importantly we will refuel with delicious cakes before the more strenuous ride back to Stourbridge along country roads. This involves some hill climbing but do not let this put you off. Everyone will support and encourage each other – no one will be left behind.

The canal path is not suitable for road bikes. Please bring equipment with you to repair punctures.

Helmets are advisable and please wear appropriate clothing for the time of year and conditions – it could be cold and muddy!

The location is ideal for both Birmingham and Wolverhampton Breeze ladies so we look forward to seeing you there just follow the Stourbridge ring road towards Wolverhampton on the A491.

Estimated ride finish time is 1.30pm.

When booking please provide a contact number in case the ride has to be cancelled due to the weather conditions. The ride will not take place if it is icy or snowing but if cold or rainy, we can cycle.

Meet the Champions

• Leah Coles I have always enjoyed riding a bike for pleasure and in my student days way, way back in the 70s even used a bike as a method of transport around London. Now at the age of 58 nothing beats a ride out into the countryside. It is the best way of triggering all the senses and a fantastic way to keep fit. So I would love to encourage others to ride a bike so you also can become passionate about it and spread the word.
• Sally Harrington I gave up running in 2009 and went back to cycling . . . it's sort of taken over my life :-). I love all types and spend a good part of the year cycling off-road in the Welsh mountains. There is so much to do and see when you're on a bike; it's great fun. I've met lots of people who share my passion for cycling. Becoming a Breeze Champion has been one of the best decisions I have made. I look forward to sharing my enthusiasm and encouraging more women to get out on their bikes.
