Social Cycling Groups in Leeds
Come and join us for a lovely ride around Leeds’ biggest green space, Middleton Park!
The ride starts at the new Visitors Centre for a quick bike check and warm up.
The route is 100% traffic-free, we will go through fields and woodland areas. Yes, there are some uphill parts but it’s not a problem to get off and walk! Or, have a go and treat it as a challenge if you’d like.
This is very gentle ride at a slow pace so we can take in the scenery. The wide, quiet paths will give a lot of opportunities for chatting. Any type of bike is suitable for the tarmac paths we’ll use. We will ride at the speed of the slowest rider, with plenty of breaks. We will spend about an hour cycling then finish back at the cafe in the visitors centre for an optional tea break.
Newcomers to Breeze rides are very welcome, don't worry if you don't know anyone, we're a friendly bunch. Dress appropriately for the weather: in cool weather it's good to wear lots of thin layers, so you can add/remove them as needed; a rain jacket is a good idea too! Please bring a drink of water, some money if you’d like to use the cafe afterwards, and a bike lock (if you have one).
Wearing a helmet is advisable; if you don’t have one please do not to worry you can still take part.
