Breeze Bike Rides in Manchester

If you're happy enough riding a bike but feel a bit rusty, or if you just fancy the chance to ride in a relaxed way with friends and family, then Ride Steady is for you. It's all designed to give you a rewarding cycling experience at a slow to leisurely pace.

A ride with a difference, skirting the perimeter of Manchester Airport on eight miles of quiet lanes, cycle paths and off-road trails. From the gentle rolling cycleway, you'll be able to watch the arrivals and departures at one of the UK's busiest airports, while the airport's viewing park and the tourist hotspot of Quarry Bank Mill provide the stopping points. Due to the mixed nature of the route's surfaces, road bikes with narrow tyres are not advised.

Amanda Phillipson I can't remember a time when I didn't ride a bike - I have always loved the freedom you have when you cycle. I am a keen road rider, having time trailed for some years on the back of a tandem! I love getting people out on their bikes and seeing them enjoy themselves and achieving something, maybe for the first time.

Briony Farrell Hi Breezers and Sky Riders!! I started riding my bike again on a Breeze ride. I hadn't riden it for over 20 years, and before that mainly in the park as a child. I was looking for a way to get fit and found fun and friendship as well. Join us!! It's a great excuse to get out on your bike and meet new people who want to cycle too!! Briony

  • John Bolton Sunday 11th September Excellent ride with very good ride leaders today(11/09/16).Even the weather played its part.Brilliant ride for those with kids 8+ as most of it is relatively flat with a few busy roads to cross and some country lane riding, but the ride leaders were very safe and kept everybody together in the group. We did the ride opposite to what is shown but this was far better as it meant the Airport viewing platform and Concord hangar were very near the end of the route which gives a good incentive for the ride. The view is amazing of the jets landing too. All in all one of the best Sky rides we've been on and Id just like to thank all the guides for their time, encouragement and very welcoming manner. Thanks again. JB
