Oakley Night ride!
Wednesday 14th November at 6.00pm This is what time the ride will set off. It’s best to get to the starting point at least 15 minutes beforehand to avoid missing the start.

Women only
Breeze Rides are all about fun, friendly, informal bike rides led by women, for women. They're ideal for all abilities and are great for building confidence and getting some gentle exercise. You might not have ridden a bike for a while and be looking for the easiest way to get back in the saddle, or be looking for a sociable way of getting out and about in your local area. Breeze rides are gently-paced, not too long, and often take in a stop for coffee or a cake. Kids are welcome to come along too.

- Overall Duration On a long ride, it’s sometimes good to have a little break in the middle, or maybe a catch up at the beginning or end to keep it sociable. This means that the overall ride duration may be longer than the actual cycling time.

Breeze Bike Rides in Basingstoke and Deane
Suitable for hybrids and mountain bikes – road bikes will not be the most comfy but may be OK if it is DRY. Only bring a road bike if you know the route and are happy to risk it. I won't be.
The route surfaces are mixed - road/tarmac, shared 'footpaths', gravel shared paths and unmade shared path.
The route will follow the cycle path to Beggarwood Park and follow the marked cycle routes through Kempshott towards Pack Lane, and the link with the new Oakley to Basingstoke off road path, opened in December 2011, then a little loop on road in Oakley and back the way we came to Portsmouth Arms. Just under 11 miles.

It's meant to be a take-it easy mainly off road route for those who want to experience a night ride in a social setting and without having to do much road riding. And this is a ride a lot of people are familiar with in day time.
