Breeze Bike Rides in Newark and Sherwood

A leisurely ride along the peaceful Southwell Trail as far as Farnsfield - we'll then leave the trail, riding for a couple of minutes along quiet roads to The Lion at Farnsfield, where we can enjoy a coffee or cold drink and a chat, before riding our route in reverse back to our starting point.


The route is flat and easy, the Southwell Trail being traffic-free. This ride is aimed at beginners or those returning to cycling, who want a social ride or to build confidence before tackling more challenging rides. The ride is approx 4.5 miles each way, with the refreshment break at the midpoint.


This ride is perfect for all abilities, particularly those who haven't cycled in a while and want a nice, easy steady-paced ride. We’ll always ride at the pace of the slowest rider so no one is left behind. We really welcome newcomers to our rides. 


It's a good idea to bring some water and you may also want to bring a snack if you think your energy levels may need topping up along the way.  Wearing a helmet is advisable, though not essential. Please bring some money if you want to buy refreshments.

I love riding my bike but am too slow to ride with my husband and his mates, so am looking for some ladies to ride with socially at weekends! I hope you'll join me to pedal and chat, stop for coffee or a picnic, and maybe gain some fitness and friends along the way! Looking forward to riding with you.
