Breeze Bike Rides in Cheshire West and Chester

Today’s ride will start at 10am at Hooton Railway Station. There are frequent trains from Chester, Ellesmere Port, the Wirral and Liverpool. There are great lifts at the station to get you and your bike from 1 platform to another. If you are coming by car, there is a large car park with security and it is 80p to park there all day.

From Hooton we will head towards the Welsh Road  passing through a farm and the village of Ledsham and then join the cycle path (all off road) which will take us along the River Dee and onto Chester. We will make use of Chester’s longest traffic free path. The route passes animal sculptures created out of trees, and attractive landscaped picnic area before reaching the River Dee at Hawarden Bridge. There are lots of wildlife to spot along the river Dee.

Newcomers to Breeze rides are very welcome, don't worry if you don't know anyone, we're a friendly bunch.  Dress appropriately for the weather: in cool weather it's good to wear lots of thin layers, so you can add/remove them as needed; a rain jacket is a good idea too

If you need to ask any questions please call me on 07729 114055 or email me at sara.braidwood@sky.com

Wearing a helmet is advisable; if you don’t have one please do not to worry you can still take part.  If you enjoy the bike ride and would like to come again perhaps you could look to buy one then.

Look forward to seeing you there!

  • Wendy Whitby Wendy Whitby Hi, I've been mountain biking for a few years now and have recently also got into road cycling. I try to get out on my bike a few times a week. Up until a few years ago I'd hardly ever ridden a bike, so I'd like to share the joy I now get from cycling with others!
Hope to see you on a bike ride soon.
