What's on at Sky Ride
Sky Rides are a great way to experience riding through the streets of your town and city – totally traffic-free. This year we’re rolling out a real festival atmosphere, with even more things to do at the event, both on and off the bike.
Head for The Hub to collect your Sky Ride Pass and your free reflective Sky Ride bib (for these you’ll need to register with us on the day if you haven’t already registered in advance). Experts from Halfords will be on hand if your bike needs a quick check up before the ride. Our new Keep Pedalling area is a great place to find out about cycling opportunities in your area, meet your local Ride Leaders and Breeze champions, and check out an interactive map of local rides. And The Hub is also where you’ll find our friendly Bike Cafe – a perfect place to meet friends or relax with a coffee and a piece of cake.
Our Tricks & Tunes area has been designed to get your jaw dropping and your heart pumping! This year we’re delighted to welcome Europe’s number one mountain bike and BMX demonstration team, led by multiple British and European trials champion Danny Butler. Test your own freestyle skills on our giant air bag. Meanwhile coaches from British Cycling’s brilliant Go Ride programme will be running skills sessions for under-16s.
At The Marketplace you’ll find loads of community organisations and clubs, plus local bike shops, retailers and places to get a bite to eat or drink.
Don’t forget that Halfords are offering everyone who registers for a Sky Ride event this year a free bike check (worth £14.99) in their stores before your event. Register your free place and join us at a Sky Ride in 2015.
