Social networking just for cyclists
Published 25 June 2012
Imagine a dedicated social network for cyclists that allows you to meet other riders, join groups and organise rides and meet-ups. Sounds good?
Social Cycling Groups, which can be accessed for free via goskyride.com, gives anyone who might otherwise be cycling alone the chance to buddy up with others and join unlimited groups and rides in your area. With dates, distances, durations and maps, you choose the group and ride that's best for you.
As with other social networks you set up a profile (the more information about the kind of cycling you like, the better), and can chat with others in a secure space. Unlike networks like Facebook though, you won't be bombarded with adverts.
So how do you get started? Just visit your goskyride.com dashboard by logging in at the top right of the page, and tick the box to join Social Cycling Groups. Then start creating your profile – adding a picture is always good! – and browse for other cyclists near you. Or use the goskyride.com Ride Finder to search for Social Cycling Group rides near you.
Social Cycling Groups. Find a buddy, find a ride, find a route.
It’s easy and it’s free.
