Sky Ride Milton Keynes is a brilliant day of bike riding
Published 26 August 2012
5,000 locals took to their bikes at Sky Ride Milton Keynes today in a fun, family celebration of cycling.
It was a great opportunity for cyclists of all ages to enjoy a safe, traffic-free ride through the city's closed roads, as well as a host of free entertainment and activities too.
There was BMX stunt wizardry from Team Extreme, a mountain bike stunt display at Midsummer Place, football freestyling and Go-Ride Racing for youngsters. The British Cycling Bike Cafe was a great place to relax and watch the world and their bikes going by.
British Cycling's National Partnerships Manager Joel Lavery said 'It's been great to see another amazing Sky Ride Milton Keynes, and so many families out joining in. We're having an amazing summer of cycling, and today shows that everyone wants to be a part of it.'
