Loads to do at Sky Ride Southampton

Sky Ride Bradford 2010

Sky Ride Southampton on Sunday 1 July is going to be a great opportunity to join in a huge traffic-free bike ride – but even if you don't want to join the ride, there's plenty to do on the day.

There'll be a range of entertainment all around the route, with the main Activation Area at Guildhall Square, from 10.30am until 4.00pm for everyone who wants to enjoy the atmosphere without getting on a bike.

With live music, street theatre, great food and the 123 cycling bike agility area there's loads for the whole family to do. Also there will be an inflatable football pitch, face painting, the Bike Doctor out and a Thai Festival.

There'll also be a chance for youngsters to have a go at racing their bikes. Go-Ride Racing is British Cycling's exciting entry level competition programme which offers local competition for novice cyclists under the age of 16, helping young people make a gradual transition into competitive cycling. There'll be free races taking place throughout the day at Sky Ride Southampton, and they're all aimed at novice racing cyclists.

Don't forget if you'd like to join the ride, you can register for free here and be in with a chance of winning some great prizes.
