Hillingdon ladies get cycling for charity

Women on cycles

On Friday the 19th August 2011 the Minet Ladies Cycling Club are hosting a sponsored cycle ride to raise funds for The Acorn Youth Club who help young people from the age of 11 onwards with learning dificulties  to lead an activity-packed life.

The ladies are attempting to clock up 2,000 laps of the Hillingdon Cycle Circuit within three hours.

But if you're worried this is only a challenge for the superfit and sporty, don't be! Last year the club tried the same thing and had riders taking part from the age of 4 to 74!

You can contact the club for a downloadable sponsor form, or come along and make a donation on the day. Everyone's welcome to come along and try to ride as many laps as you can, and if you haven't got your own bike you can hire one for just £2.00.

The entry fee is £3 per rider, with all the money going to the charity.
