Go the extra mile with a cycling challenge

Ride Strong Plus

If you’ve made going the extra mile on your bike a must-do in 2013, then try one of our more challenging rides...

There are plenty of places left on these adult-only rides which cover 20 to 50 mile routes with a few hills and challenging climbs thrown in for good measure. They’re not for the faint-hearted, but you don’t have to be a die-hard club rider to take part either. They’re supportive rides ideal for anyone who wants to take their cycling to the next level – perfect preparation for a British Cycling sportive or charity challenge ride.  If you go on two or more rides, we'll even give you a lovely Great British Cycling Team water bottle!

These rides are led by friendly British Cycling trained Ride Leaders, who give thousands of people a great group riding experience every summer. They’re welcoming and supportive, and many participants on Sky Ride Local rides go on to do more independent riding and form their own Social Cycling Group.
