Get ready for Sky Ride Preston
Published 12 June 2012
Are you ready for Sky Ride Preston? On Sunday 17 June the centre of Preston will be transformed into a fantastic traffic-free bike ride and everyone’s invited.
There will be a fantastic range of entertainment and activities for people to enjoy at the three separate activation areas at Avenham and Miller Parks and Flag Market from 10.00am until 3.00pm. When you fancy a break from cycling the route you can take part in a rugby taster session, join the Bike Band and even have a go at gymnastics and trampolining. Or if you’re a little tired then why not indulge in a rejuvenating sports massage.
Peter Haymes, British Cycling’s Recreation Manager for Lancashire region, said: ‘Sky Ride Preston is going to be a great day out for the whole family. With a brilliant route that takes in the newly-completed Guild Wheel cycle trail and lots of fun things to do, it promises to be a fantastic celebration of everything cycling and the city’s status as European City of Sport.’
