We wanted to say a massive congratulations to Lizzie Armitstead and the rest of the Team GB women's cycling team for the fantastic, nail biting race on Sunday and also for helping to raise the profile of women's cycling.
Thanks to Lizzie, Emma Pooley, Nicole Cooke and Lucy Martin for an amazing show of team work and for achieving the first Team GB and cycling medal.
You can see from the pictures above of the morning's headlines in the national newspapers with Lizzie featuring on almost all the papers. This is fantastic coverage for women's cycling and we hope that it encourages more women to get back on a bike and take up cycling. Breeze's Closing the Cycling Gap Campaign promotes more opportunities for women to rediscover the joys of riding a bike.
For a more in-depth story and to read about Lizzie's reaction, check out British Cycling's website.
Breeze is also supporting the Women's Sport and Fitness Foundation's Go Girl campaign.
The campaign, backed by Olympic silver medallist Gail Emms and eleven times Paralympic Champion Baroness Grey-Thompson, invites the nation to join them in celebrating our female Olympians and Paralympians by using the hashtag #gogirl and helping to create the biggest ever community of support for the women of Team GB at wsff.org.uk/gogirl.
