Shedding the pounds can sometimes feel like an uphill battle and exercising can turn out to be an uninspiring chore. Cycling and keeping fit go hand in hand and by going on our regular Breeze bike rides, losing and maintaining your weight can be fun and enjoyable. (If you don’t believe us, you’ll just have to try and see)
Before we go any further, here are a few key facts you should know about cycling:
Burn, Baby, Burn! You can burn upto 400 - 500 calories per hour at a moderate pace. Burning 3500 calories is the same as 1 pound.
Big wheels keep on turning. The motion of cycling tones your muscles and burns fat.
Lift it higher. Cycling increases your metabolic rates (the rate at which the body burns up calories). The higher this is, the more calories you burn, even when resting.
Climb every mountain. Improves your overall fitness levels, so you can ride further and burn even more calories
