Bike maintenance for champions

 British Cycling bike maintenance workshop

As a thank you for all your support over the 12 months, we are pleased to offer all Breeze champions the chance to learn some FREE basic maintenance skills.

The workshops are a chance to learn new skills and to meet other champions in your area.  The first list of dates and venues are below.  All champions received the booking form in the last champion newsletter. There’s still more dates to be confirmed and these will be advertised on the Breeze website. In the first instance, these workshops are for champions only and if there are spare places available, we will open these out to your participants. To register for a place on the following workshops, you need to complete and return the form via email to breeze@britishcycling.org.uk

Saturday 16 February - ReCycle Bikes, 62-68 Thirlwell Road, Heeley, Sheffield - 10am - 1pm

If you're thinking about joining a Breeze bike maintenance workshop, here's what a Breeze champion had to say when she went along:

"I am a Breeze Champion and attended the Breeze Bike Maintenance at the Cycle Hub in Newcastle on Saturday 24.11.12. I just wanted to let you know that it was excellent. I am a complete novice when it comes to bike mechanics and thought I'd be totally out of my depth. To be honest I felt a bit sick with anxiety before we started. However, by the end I could successfully remove a wheel, change inner tube and put it all back together safely. I now know how to adjust brakes and saddles and will be putting a multi tool on my Christmas list. A huge thankyou to Steve from Saddle Skedaddle who ran the training with great patience. The coffee and cake were also much appreciated, particularly by those of us who had cycled to the venue. If there is a chance of any further training I would be really keen to be involved."
